Science And Math Teacher Appreciation Gift Ideas

Albert Einstein isn't just a genius physicist; he's a pop culture icon. Even Stephen Hawking can't compete with the Einstein mystique. Maybe it's Einstein's grandfatherly appeal, but he looks like someone you'd want to have a nice chat about … relativity … over coffee with. :-)

That is why his image makes a great gift for the scientist or the student in your life. Or the writer. Or the philosopher. Or the chemistry teacher. It's inspirational. It's quirky. It's sure to be a hit.

There are two coffee mugs with his image - one serious and one not. The not-serious image has the famous photo of Einstein with his eyes wide and tongue stuck out. (Come to think of it, aren't all photographs of Einstein famous?) These mugs make a great set.

In fact, since four is such a great number for sets of things, you could get your favorite scientist-groupie two of each. That's so much cooler than just one cup. Giving sets you assemble yourself takes forethought. <wink>

If you want to really go the distance with Einstein, there's more.

The Relativity Watch is very cool. The hands stay in position as the face moves around behind it to tell the time. However, the numbers, which don't actually match and are backwards and upside-down and in different fonts, are all over the place and on a wobbly looking space-time grid. Perfect for the eccentric time-traveler or your favorite jokester.

There is also a nice-looking, very cool black Math Mug sporting a jumble of yellow, blue, and white formulas in different sizes. What a great way for a student to say thanks to a favorite science teacher at the end of the year!

Know what else? Even though the Math Mug is technically an Einstein thing, it would make a great gift for a fan of that television show, "Numbers". Give a gift like that, and your friend will think you are the genius.
