This helicopter pilot training school is primarily for people seeking to become certified as private or commercial helicopter pilots. Both of these options require a considerable investment of time.

However, Elite Helicopters also allows 'regular' folks the opportunity to fly their helicopters for short periods of time. The number of hours you spend in 'ground school' before taking the controls depends upon exactly which package you decide to go with.

However, it is a surprisingly short amount of time - no more than a few hours. You can come to them knowing absolutely nothing about helicopters and fly that same day! Needless to say, you will be flying with a certified co-pilot.

Elite Helicopters offers two packages. The first allows you take the controls during flight. (The certified pilot takes off and lands the helicopter).

The other program allows you to do everything: you go over the pre-flight checklist, start-up it up, take off, climb, hover, descend and finally land the helicopter! (Again, with a certified pilot looking over your shoulder - thankfully. )
